The Western Design Conference (WDC)
has become known as the world's preeminent exhibition of western furniture, fashion and accessories. Founded in 1994 by western enthusiasts, the
Western Design Conference was established to perpetuate the best traditions of western design and craft through education, economic opportunities and the

The Switchback Ranch Purchase award, given through the generosity of Buffalo Bill Historical Center Trustee David Leuschen, allows the
Buffalo Bill Historical Center,
the oldest and most comprehensive museum of the American West, to purchase a piece or pieces to go in its permanent collection of Western
Decorative Art. This award goes to the craftsman whose work is judged both singular and superior among the exhibitors' creations presented at
each year's Western Design Conference (through 2006) / CodyHigh Style Show (since 2007).
Rendezvous Royale,
the Buffalo Bill Historical Center's annual celebration of the arts, includes the Cody High Style Show, an exhibition of fashion,
furniture, accessories and other handcrafted items designed in western tradition. This conference showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of individual
pieces while cementing Cody's reputation as a town that helped create, and continues to sustain, the Western design movement. John Gallis and Norseman

Custom Woodworking Business Magazine
Each year, Custom Woodworking Business Magazine sponsors the CWB Design
