The Western Design Conference (WDC)
has become known as the world’s preeminent exhibition of western furniture, fashion and accessories. Not only does it act as a venue for the current state of western design, but also as a catalyst for the genre’s evolution. Founded over a decade
ago by western enthusiasts, the Western Design Conference was established to perpetuate the best traditions of western design and craft through education,
economic opportunities and the exchange of ideas. Norseman Designs West has received 10 awards at the Western Design Conference, including Best of Show, People’s Choice, Exhibitors’ Choice, and the Switchback Purchase Award.
Each year, Custom Woodworking Business Magazine sponsors the CWB Design Portfolio Awards competition to recognize the top
custom woodworking projects submitted in each of five categories. Judges select winners from hundreds of nationally submitted entries. Winning projects are selected on the basis of appearance and quality
of construction. NDW was among the national winners in the 2002 and 2004 Design Portfolio Awards competitions.

designs exhibited and sold at the Adirondack Museum’s Annual Rustic Fair, the largest event of its kind in the Northeast. John's cantilevered desk, Spirit
Tree III, was named both the People's Choice and Exhibitor's Choice at the Adirondack Museum's 2007 Rustic Fair.
The High Desert Museum in
Bend, Oregon, is nationally acclaimed for inspiring and fostering stewardship of the natural and cultural resources of the High Desert. It offers close-up wildlife
